Choosing Health & Wellness

"Healthy sensible approach in weight loss"

Remember it is unsafe to drop weight quickly and even more dangerous to gain it back quickly. Avoid the "yo-yo" dietary syndrome. Try your best to eat sensibly. Always be aware of what you are putting into your body. Make sure you know that down side and the side effects of any dietary plan you are planning to take, make sure you do the research, to see how it helped other women like yourself lose weight. We can't always rely on  just a pill, there's no such thing as a miracle pill. Dietary supplements are designed to help you with weight loss while incorporating a healthy diet and some exercise. What helped me a lot, was programming my body into eating 5-6 times per day in moderation and more frequency in small portions of course. Eating more lean protein, vegetables, and some fruits and plenty of water can help tremendously in losing weight.

  • Emphasize fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and fat free or low fat free milk product
  • Include lean meats poultry fish beans eggs and nuts
  • LOW in Saturated fats, trans fat, cholesterol, salt (sodium) and added sugars

"Importance of protein"

In addition to the incorporation of the before mentioned food, foods high in protein should be eating every 4 to 5 hours. It takes this amount of time for the body to digest proteins. To prevent the body from going into a "starvation mode" it's important to eat lean protein every 4 to 5 hours. This helps maintain a proper blood sugar level,  and  keeps it from spiking your blood sugar too high or too low.

'Key to weight loss"

The key to weight loss is to fix or change your metabolism. Any metabolism can be healed as long as you are dedicated to a healthy, active lifestyle. To heal a sick metabolism it requires 3-4 meals daily plus healthy snacks. The less you eat the slower your metabolism set point becomes. That is why skipping a meal does not produce weight loss results. Your body thinks it is in a starvation mode, and it is trying to preserve the little energy it has stored, that's why skipping meals interrupts the weight loss you are trying to achieve.
It is not a mith that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

It's important that you always incorporate a healthy active lifestyle, at home workouts are great for stay home moms, if you don't want to step foot in the gym, there are other methods and even online tips and tricks you can find, here are a few everyday workouts'.
